K6 Telephone Box is the bright red cast iron landmark on the sidewalk. These rectangular icons still exist around London. We just finished touring the National Gallery and were headed for an afternoon snack... and there it was, the most perfect spot for a photoshoot of the phone booth. This one on the corner of A4 and Craven Street which is more like a narrow alley.
The vivid red comes from Gapka brand of oil paint, mixing fluorencent orange, pink and magenta. In the old days, purple used to be one of the most expensive pigments so royalty would use it. Purple is perfect for this imperial telephone booth and Gapka's fluorescent yellow for the crown. I like how it came out; the colors and all that texture.
