Queen Victoria laid the foundation stone in 1867 in memory of her husband. I first fell in love with Albert while watching Netflix "The Young Victoria" British period drama film. Such a romantic, that Prince Albert, or maybe it was just the actor. Either way, I'm an Anglophile. When Adele performed at the concert with banter saying "Royal Albert F%@K!Ng Hall", that's when I put the venue on my "to-do" list.
There's a rule in oil painting called "fat over lean" meaning that the pigment needs to have more oil content than the previous layers. It acts like glue for the next layers. These layers are vivid, I used Gapka fluorescent oil paints for the potent color.
This oil painting portrays the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London, England, with a vibrant and expressive impressionistic style. The grand, circular building is depicted in warm hues of red, orange, and yellow, accented with blue and purple details, creating a lively contrast. The textured brushstrokes bring out the architectural intricacies of the domed roof, arched windows, and ornate façade. A bold pink sky in the background adds a surreal and energetic atmosphere, emphasizing the Hall's prominence and cultural significance. The overall composition celebrates the grandeur of this historic landmark with a modern artistic twist.
